SCAM ALERT: "Christian C. Pauline", Skyler Steele- More FRAUD activity to report- Curtis Coats III

This is a crowd sourced blog, with victims reporting the activity of Curtis Coats III.  He changes his name ALL. THE. TIME.  If you have any information to contribute, please email curtis.coats.fraud@gmail.com.

His current names this month are "Christian C. Pauline" and "Skyler Steele" or "Sky Steel", which also include christiancpauline@gmail.com, though he has at least 20 different emails since we've been tracking him here in Atlanta, beginning September 2019.  He claims to work for or own a company by the name of Steele Consulting. We are also guessing he is using "google" phone numbers, posing as his own assistants, then lawyers.

If you are new to this blog, you can see a history of his criminal behavior in several other postings here https://portraitofaconman.blogspot.com/

NEW INFORMATION:

Current Landlord Scam

1) Under the name "Christian Pauline" (also known as Sky Steele), Curtis Coats was illegally trespassing in yet another high end, fully furnished private home for rent.  Last week he was locked out of the midtown Atlanta home, and his belongings were collected in five black trash bags, and two small carry on suitcases, and left out front.  About the same amount of  belongings he had, when the last several landlords had to remove him.  He came within minutes to retrieve his stuff, so he must have been around the corner monitoring.  Or just had good timing.  There are many videos from the property itself, as well as the neighbors. He did not put up a fight, attempt to try the locks on the door, or make any threats like he has in the past. (He has no leg to stand on anyway. If this happens to you or is happening to you, PLEASE do not let him intimidate you. Change the locks on him and throw his stuff to the curb. If the cops are called, they'll say it's civil although technically he's a criminal trespasser.)

In addition to his belongings in the home, he had a closet full of little boy's clothing all neatly arranged with all of the tags still on them. As well as another room full of unopened boxed toys. All for his son he cannot see but continues to use in all his sob stories and scams.

A police report has been filed for this and there is a current warrant out for his arrest.  He submitted fraudulent checks, sent empty FedEx envelopes and faked personalities to support his cause. There is more information as well, but pending investigation, we will hold back for the moment.

There were also two different cars seen on the property.  One driven by a woman who would pick him up and drop him off, and sometimes lend him her car (it appears).  It was noted and recorded that this car was seen with two different license plates over time.  One of the plates having an Emory University Alumni decorative frame.  This car was a dark gray Acura MDX.  We worry that this woman does not know who he really is.

Another red Honda was also seen. I can update the model of car, as we have it somewhere in the many files of information.  Our main concern is the Acura owner, as he was often driving the car alone.

And finally, well probably not finally, Curtis racked up a $1200 Comcast bill at the Midtown property, which the landlord is now having to waste an incredible amount of time and money on to get it fixed.

Current Book Cover and Social Media Image Scam

Again, under the name Christian Pauline, Curtis has written a book and listed it on Amazon. That part is true. And however good or bad, true or not true his "based on a true story" book is- he has still not paid the artist who designed his book cover and edited this novel, as seen below. She also designed his website (https://christiancpauline.wixsite.com/home)

She has been trying to collect for several months, only to get the runaround, which also included his usual fraudulent check, empty FedEx envelope etc. She also designed the image he is currently using on his Instagram and twitter accounts as well.

https://www.instagram.com/christiancpauline/     and   https://twitter.com/chriscpauline

A police report is being filed and she is owed $2000.

Current Landscaper Scam

While squatting at the recent midtown home Curtis hired a local landscaper to work on the property. He said he wanted to clean things up for a birthday party he was going to have.  He did just turn 55 years old in May (though it appears he is lying about his age on online dating sites). Again passing the property off as his own, the small landscaper took him for his word and completed the work.  He racked up a $1680 bill. Again, fraudulent checks, empty FedEx envelopes. it's really unbelievable.

This landscape owner has also filed a police report.  And there is more to come, which will hold back on for now.

Another new name- Ross Sanders, Scam

Curtis has referred to a "Ross Sanders," to two of the above victims.  He claimed to one victim that this Mr. Sanders was a friend.  He told the other it was his lawyer. Again we now think this is a google phone number.

I called the number myself and left a voicemail.  I wanted to reach this new person, if he was real, to find out if he truly knew Curtis...or Christian....or Skyler....or any of the other names.  My concern was that he could be an accomplice to Curtis' criminal behavior.

The next day I received a text message, saying he has no idea who I am, but addressed me by my correct last name which is complicated to spell.  I never told him what my name was, and I used *67 so he could not see my caller i.d.  The tone and threatening verbiage he used, is exactly how Curtis talks.  And by using my name I thanked him for confirming that it was Curtis.  He has not replied since.  Here is the contact info he is using- 512-692-0460 and ross.sanders1212@gmail.com .

Again, this is a crowd sourced blog about a serial con man.  If you have any information to contribute, please email curtis.coats.fraud@gmail.com.

If anyone does come across this man or knows of his current location, please call the police immediately. There is a felony warrant out for his arrest.

For any attorneys or investigators, we have a long list and many files of evidence against this man.  It is available upon request.

  1. What a sociopath! For someone that references god in every post on his fake social media and dating websites, this man is using his religion as an excuse for his bad behavior.

  2. The designer of the book cover should contact Amazon and the social networks and demand that images of the cover be removed for copyright infringement. If he for the work, he has no rights to use it.

  3. If he didn't pay for the work, he has no rights to use it.

  4. I know Curtis Coats iii. What I am reading here is from outer space. I see petty jealousy and vindictiveness. Should you ruin a decent man's name for $1000?
