This is a crowd sourced blog, with victims reporting the activity of Curtis Coats III.  He changes his name ALL. THE. TIME.  If you have any information to contribute, please email curtis.coats.fraud@gmail.com. His current names this month are "Christian C. Pauline" and "Skyler Steele" or "Sky Steel", which also include christiancpauline@gmail.com, though he has at least 20 different emails since we've been tracking him here in Atlanta, beginning September 2019.  He claims to work for or own a company by the name of Steele Consulting. We are also guessing he is using "google" phone numbers, posing as his own assistants, then lawyers. If you are new to this blog, you can see a history of his criminal behavior in several other postings here  https://portraitofaconman.blogspot.com/ NEW INFORMATION: Current Landlord Scam 1) Under the name "Christian Pauline" (also known as Sky Steele), Curtis Coats was illegally trespassing

"Christian C. Pauline", "Sky Steele", "Skyler Steele" are all Curtis Coats- WARNING

It is extremely disappointing that this blog continues to need updates.  Curtis Coats continues his con man scam.  BE WARNED THIS MAN IS CURRENTLY IN PRE-EVICTION PROCESS, AGAIN, AND IS LIKELY LOOKING FOR HIS NEXT RESIDENTIAL SCAM IN ATLANTA, GA. He is currently claiming online that he lives in San Francisco.  He does not.  As of this update, he is living in Midtown Atlanta and on his third month of never paying his $4,000/mo rent. Curtis Coats has recently used the following names: Skyler Steele Sky Steele Steele Consulting, Atlanta GA 30309 Kelly Steele Christian Pauline Noah Drake Nigel St. Clair Nigel Saint Claire Nigel Coats Since the inception of this blog (originally posted 9/3/20)- FIVE landlords have reported being ripped off dating back to June 2019. They were each given the elaborate runaround for why his rent for their high-end rental properties was not paid. He has found them through Zillow.com, Corporatehousingbyowner.com (CHBO) and other housing websites.

Scam alert: Curtis Coats now using the name Christian Pauline

Curtis Coats is now using the name Christian Pauline, to scam another landlord (and to write a book).  He is currently living in Atlanta, and has not paid his (high-end property, expensive) rent since he signed the lease in April 2020. The previous post on this blog reflects the many landlords he has done this with, since last July 2019...and counting. Those updates were all one post, from a different blog website, but we have since moved this content to its own space. All updates on this new blog format will now be their own posts. Once the current landlord's team found out that his real name is Curtis Coats, he said he is changing his name to Christian Pauline, because he himself had been frauded. He then sent a photo of a FedEx envelope and said all the money was on it's way ($8k).  He played the FedEx scam with me as well.  The envelope he sent to me was empty. Mr. Coats also recently published a 154 page book on Amazon, under the name Christian C. Pauline. Here is t

Scam warning: "Skyler" on Match.com is really Curtis Coats

On March 14, 2020, Curtis Coats was reported as using the name "Skyler" on Match.com.  He uses multiple dating platforms to find women to scam.  His real age is 54 years old with a birthday in May.  He frequently uses his young son as leverage to play on his victim's emotions and vulnerabilities. We have received several phone calls about Curtis Coats using fake names to meet women online. Each story ends in a tale of lies and fraud, and in many cases, loss of money. If you have encountered this man and would like to contribute your story to helping warn and save others, please email curtis.coats.fraud@gmail.com

Warning: Curtis Coats, aka Christian Pauline, a serial con artist

*Since my original posting, the direct financial loss he has caused since May 2019 totals $33,986. And that DOES NOT include any family members or romantic interests he has cheated. Most recent fake name used is "Christian Pauline". WARNING! It is with regret, but purpose, that I am posting this blog today.  A man named  Curtis Coats III (or Nigel Saint Claire), from "CA & Associates" and "Nigel at Night"  contacted my shop during a busy Mother's Day season.  Unfortunately, I was distracted enough to not catch on to his huge scam, until three weeks later.  We had a court date and he did not show up.  I have a Judgement against him for $2963.17, but doubt I will ever see any money.  But the money does not mean as much to me as the long and vast path of Fraud, in Georgia and in Texas, that I have uncovered during my investigation.  This blog will act as a central point for anyone looking in to this man.  DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN. An em

Comments from the original post- The anguish that this man causes...

In the interest of being transparent, here are the original comments from the post above . They reflect the great emotion and stress that this man causes. 47 COMMENTS: WinGellyGirl said... I know both Curtis and his ex-wife. From what I know about them both, I am sure that everything you say about Curtis is likely true. He is definitely a con man, and you should proceed with caution and avoid any and all financial transactions with him unless he pays you cash upfront. Otherwise, you will almost surely never see your money. Nor should you believe anything he says that you don't see with your own eyes. What you say about his ex-wife however is not exactly true, or is at best misleading. She is hardly the innocent victim she portrays herself to be. Yes, her life was destroyed by her relationship with Curtis. No doubt about it. However, it was her own greed that took her to that place. And in some ways, what happened to her was due to her willingness to hurt another woman to get
